I’ve been toying with this idea of doing a half marathon.
But lately, In my first week back running (which has been ok, but not all as glorious as I’d hoped), I’ve been wondering WHY I run.
I tell myself it’s because I love it, but I have this sinking feeling in the back of my mind that it MIGHT just be because it keeps me thin.
And that is WRONG and it scares me because I don’t want to be that girl anymore, I want to be a RUNNER!
If that turns out to be the case, I am not going to let myself run until I straighten that whole thing out.
Love your blog! Can’t wait for more!

Hey, I am a fourm user on Runner’s World, and I just wanted to wish you good luck! Do no think about running as being something you do to stay skinny, but as something you do to relieve stress, clear you head, give you confidence, and most importantly, be HEALTHY, NOT skinny. It is okay to love to run because you know it is good for you body. It is a sign of self-respect, and care for yourself. Runners respect themselves, and I know you do too. There is much more to life than being skinny although it does not always seem like it, people do not think about your size; they think about who you are. I would join the running club and learn to love the sport for the fun and socializing of it if I were you. It sounds like a great idea and a blast!
